A brief discussion on the possibility of "the world after death"

 Abstract

      For thousands of years, many people have been perplexed by the concept of the "afterlife." Humanities continuously seek answers from the perspective of "spiritual insight," while the natural sciences often dismiss it as "baseless talk." So, is such a world a physical reality, or merely a product of the human mind? There are countless interpretations in academia, but none seem to fully address the issue. The author believes it is necessary to delve deeper into understanding this matter.

     British mathematician Professor Penrose proposed a "consciousness theory" based on pure physics as early as 1989. Even though it was considered a "minority view" at the time, it was inspired by his outstanding mathematical insights. Candidly speaking, perhaps this theory also encompasses a purely "cosmic" consciousness. At that time, he had not yet received the Nobel Prize. Since Professor Penrose was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2020, his theory of consciousness has once again come into the public view. Various schools of thought have begun to discuss it extensively, like mushrooms after rain.  

    Several years ago, the author analyzed numerous "supernatural phenomena" and had the opportunity to read this theory. Based on the inherent nature of some supernatural phenomena, which often exhibit counterintuitive and unconventional characteristics but align with certain quantum phenomena, the author has always intuitionally believed that Professor Penrose's pure physics consciousness theory might indeed be correct.

     According to pure physics, it elevates consciousness to a new level because nature is fundamentally physical; without nature, phenomena would be non-existent. The conclusion of this study indicates that if "consciousness" is inherently destined to involve "physics" from the beginning, then the world constructed through the immortal continuum of space-time must be continuous. Whether in the life or death, the so-called world should be derived phenomena from the assimilated physical order.
